Helping Every Family Enjoy a Great Stay

At Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resort in Asheboro, our goal is to provide every family with a safe, clean, relaxing, and memorable camping experience. These guidelines help protect our guests, our staff, and our campground while preserving the fun, family-friendly atmosphere everyone comes here to enjoy.

Please take a few minutes to review every policy before arriving. Each member of your camping party should understand what is expected during your visit. If you have questions before or during your stay, our Ranger Station team will be happy to help.

Before You Arrive

Knowing what to expect before check-in helps your arrival go smoothly and gets your camping vacation off to a great start.

• All camping guests must check in at the Ranger Station before entering the park. All vehicles must display a parking pass at all times.
• Entrance onto campground property constitutes permission for Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park™ to photograph visitors while on the premises and to use resulting images for lawful promotional purposes without payment to the visitor.
• The availability and operating hours of amenities and activities are contingent upon weather, park occupancy, maintenance needs, staffing, and other factors. We cannot guarantee that every amenity will operate at all times.
• Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resort in Asheboro is not responsible for the loss of valuables, accidents, or injuries.
• Guests must be at least 21 years old to rent a cabin. Valid identification will be required at check-in.
• Guests must be at least 18 years old to rent an RV or tent site.
• Our bathhouses are ADA compliant and include coin-operated washers and dryers.
• Parking at each campsite is limited to one camping unit and two vehicles.

Keeping Everyone Safe

These safety policies protect children, pets, guests, and staff while allowing everyone to enjoy the campground comfortably.

• The campground speed limit is 5½ MPH. Please watch carefully for children, pedestrians, bicycles, pets, and golf carts.
• Alcoholic beverages are restricted to individual campsites. Operating any vehicle or equipment while consuming alcohol is strictly prohibited.
• Campfires are permitted only in designated grills or fire rings.
• Children under age 16 must be at their campsite under adult supervision during quiet hours.
• Children under age 10 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Parents and guardians are responsible for the actions and safety of their children.
• Please observe all signs and remain outside designated construction and zoned-off areas.
• Fireworks of any kind are not permitted.
• Hot tubs of any kind, including inflatable hot tubs, are not permitted.
• Guest use of motorbikes, ATVs, and minibikes is not permitted.
• Electric bicycles and electric scooters may be operated only by DMV-licensed riders. They are subject to the campground speed limit of 5½ MPH.
• Four-wheel electric ride-on toys, such as children’s Power Wheels, may be used by toddlers only with direct adult supervision.
• Smoking is not permitted inside any campground building.

Pool & Water Attractions

Our pool and water attractions are a favorite part of many family vacations. Following every posted rule helps keep the water safe and enjoyable for everyone.

• No lifeguard is on duty.
• Children age 13 or younger must be accompanied by an adult age 16 or older.
• A park wristband is required to enter the pool area.
• No one is permitted to swim alone.
• Infants and toddlers who wear diapers must wear swim diapers. Swim diapers are available for purchase at the Camp Store.
• Running, diving, and flips into the pool are not permitted.
• Piggyback riding, including sitting or standing on another person’s shoulders, is not permitted.
• Glass containers are not permitted in the pool area. Drinks must be kept in plastic or metal containers and consumed only on the pool deck—not while in the water.
• Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the pool area and may be consumed only at your campsite.
• Waterslide users must travel feet first and one person at a time.
• The waterfall rock formation is for display only and must not be climbed.

Golf Cart Guidelines

Golf carts are a convenient way to travel around the campground. Safe and responsible operation is required at all times.

• The campground speed limit is 5½ MPH.
• Personal electric golf carts are welcome. Guests must provide proof of insurance with liability coverage.
• A seasonal golf cart permit is required. The permit fee is $40 and the permit expires on December 31 each year.
• Only DMV-licensed drivers age 16 or older may operate rented or personally owned golf carts. Every driver must be listed on the rental agreement with their driver’s license number.
• Golf cart privileges will be revoked if an underage or unauthorized driver is found operating the cart.
• Golf carts and bicycles equipped with functioning headlights and taillights may be used after dark.
• Operating a golf cart or any other vehicle while consuming alcohol is strictly prohibited.
• Please observe all signs and remain outside designated construction and zoned-off areas.

Bringing Your Dog

We know pets are part of the family, and we are happy to welcome well-behaved dogs. These policies help create a safe and comfortable visit for guests and pets alike.

• Dogs are welcome, with a maximum of two dogs per campsite unless prior permission has been granted.
• Dogs must remain supervised, quiet, and leashed at all times.
• Please Scoop the Poop! Pet owners are responsible for promptly cleaning up after their pets.
• Any demonstration of aggressive behavior by a pet may result in the camping party being asked to leave.
• Animals, including emotional support animals, are not permitted inside campground buildings, the pool area, or the bathhouses. Pets are permitted only in designated pet-friendly cabins.
• Service animals are permitted in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
• Proof of current vaccinations must be available upon request.
• Dogs left unattended inside a cabin must be secured in a kennel.
• Owners must prevent excessive barking or other behavior that disturbs neighboring guests.
• Dogs must remain under their owner’s supervision unless safely inside the owner’s RV.
• A dog park is located across from Site #1 on Lollipop Lane. Please follow all rules posted at the dog park entrance.

Camping Courtesy

One of the things families love most about camping is the friendly atmosphere. A little consideration goes a long way toward making everyone’s vacation enjoyable.

• Quiet hours are from 10:30 PM until 8:00 AM.
• Please remain on marked trails and roadways. Do not walk, ride, or drive through another guest’s campsite.
• All trash must be placed inside the campground dumpster. Trash may not be left outside the dumpster or piled above its capacity. Please notify a staff member if the dumpster is full.
• All fishing is catch and release. A North Carolina fishing license is not required for fishing within the campground.
• Camping courtesy is expected 24 hours a day. Loud music, profanity, abusive language, and disruptive behavior are not permitted.
